Forest Tower. (Raita, Deidara &Deva.)

Deva stood at the top of the tower an sighed waiting for the two to show up. This issue had always been in the back of his mind but now he had to tell the two before 'that' happened. His eyes scanned the forest and he sent two paths out to secure the area e didn't want to alarm any other members with what he had to say just yet. Though not a member he believed Raita deserved to know as well.

I yawned walking through the forest nearby where Pein ordered me to show up at. I placed my hands behind my head and looked around streaching since it was so early. This let me know that Madara had no idea what was going on. I felt slightly like i was betraying him, but also knowing my orders to keep pein being leader for now crossed my mind. Finally i made it to the place i was to meet him at. his orange hair practiacally gave him away.
"You wanted somethin?" I asked not really in the mood to be ordered around much by him today. My leader and master had always been and always will be. Madara Uchiha.

I was flying around on one of my smaller clay flying birds and soon found the place i was asked to meet both Raita and Pein-sama. I jumped down landing next to Raita and looked at Pein.
"Here, Leader-sama un.." I said announcing my being there.

I looked over at Diedara who had finally landed next to me. I rolled my eyes then stepped forward. Deidara was such a wuss around Pein, and he didn't even know there was someone stronger.
"Pein, why do you keep calling both Deidara and i together. We arn't partners. Tobi is my partner." I pointed out getting rite to the point.

Deva sighed and spoke in a low but foreful tone. "Not after today Raita. The reason I've been calling you both is because you are to be partners from this day forward. Of course Deidara will be the acting leader on assignments. That is if Raita wishes to keep her...master happy. After all it was his idea to get reassigned. He wants to be my partner and I have agreed Konan has been a bit strange as of late an I won't have her on top assignments in her state." he looke Raita over and sighed calling all his paths to his side. He was expecting an uproar from Raita and a sigh from Deidara.

I shook my head with a smirk seeing him calling all his paths to defend him. I soon began to chuckle then break out laughing. when i calmed i turned from him.
"Whatever..." I said. I walked over to a wall and leaned on it looking at Pein somewhat irritated but didn't feel the need to fight him...not just yet.

Deva sighed and took a deep breathe. "You know...It's quite hard not to kill you when you act this way. Your puppeteer may have raised you but I'm sure it won't add too much oil to our fire if I just end your insolent attitude at the cebral level." He smiled lightly and Naraka path took a step in front of all the others and looked across the clearing at her.

I turned my attention back to Pein and tilted my head with a slight glare.
"You aint gonna do nothin to me." I then giggled like a little girl slightly.
"Sides...im older than you anyways...my puppeteer as you called him did not only raise me but tought me everything he knows in battle." I explained getting slightly angry at his incolence towards my master.
"Sides...if you wern't afraid you wouldnt have summoned you lil helpers to protect you." I said pointing at all his paths.

He shook his head and smiled. "You really belive these are protectors? No a better question. Doyou really belive you could learn a fraction of what Madara knows in battle? His techniques lie solely in the one thing you can ever posses...His Mangekyou Sharingan. Never believe you are a threat to me, especially when you don't know your master half as well as you think. They are apart of me...The paths I mean. They are me and We fight together. Don't be afraid. It'll always be a one on one."

I glared at Pein growling in a low tone.
"Don't EVER assume what i do and do not know about him!!" I hissed. I then callmed and sighed leaning against my wall again.
"I don't need to possess the sharingan i have the terinkingan to aide me. Don't ever assume you are the stronges it will be your downfall." I said.

He sighed and nodded. "I knew you'd get angry. I'd have never guessed that you felt so strongly about this. Such strong emotion from a lifeless puppet strung by the greatest saboteur in shinobi history.I'ts quite interesting. I have a question. Do you remember how old he was when he found you? How about what he was wearing? I remember...Raita. I do remember." He laughed maniacally and took a step toward her. Such a sad and cold day. We were on our way back from our 'first' mission. Yahiko myself and Konan. Such a 'success' he boasted. When he sent us back to the base Konan got curious and set a small flower atop his shoulder and we watched you....The entire time Madara was gone. We watched you."

I looked at Pein once more this time my eyes colder than the frozen part of hell itself. I glared at him oh how i hated this man i always had. Now he was calling me lifeless, a puppet. I felt like a child again slightly as he spoke his evil words. I wanted to cry. I wanted to scream at him...kill him. But no. I just glared at him wishing that something would kill him rit now. My arms were still folded over my chest as i looked away.
"Thats impossible...no one knew i was there...except.." I began. Things began to spin in my head. Why was i letting him get to me like this. Why did i care, i knew what i needed to know. I did remember what he was wearing when i met him .yet one thing he was rite about...i never knew his age.Finally I looked at Pein again my eyes stung with red tears. I had not cried since that night. That cold rainy night in that dark well.
"What do you think you know...I have feelings. I am no ones puppet, I do as he says because he saved my life. I am in detted to him for that. Weather he cares for me...weather i am just a tool..i don't care.But you sir...are NOT leader!" Finally i began to cry my eyes glowing red slightly i pulled out a kunai. Now, i wanted him dead.

Deva tilted his head and sighed deeply. He didn't want the girl to cry. He had only wanted her to realize she wasn't the center of Madara's world as he was to her. A sick feeling dropped into his stomach as he saw her tears and a sleak black rod fashioned nito a sword slid down his sleeve and comfortably into his hand. He had no intention of killing her but he needed to fend her off until her anger subsided. Keeping completely calm he spoke from all six mouths. "Raita...Do not fight me. Channel your anger toward the Deceiver. Madara has nevber told you his age because He doesn't remember. He has been alive for over six generations. He is immortal through horrible means and he will only try to use you as he has tried to do to me." His mind raced quickly over her past and her fighting styles and he sighed. 'She won't stop.' He thought and stood ready.

Getting almost an inch away from Pein i calmed knowing of my orders to treat him as a slight leader. having my kunai pointed towards this man in a crowched position my eyes stopped there spinning motion and i stood strieght. I then looked at him.What purpose would it searve to kill him now? It would only put a problem in the organasations way. It would throw things out of balance.
"What is your plan now...to turn me againsed him?" I asked. I closed my eyes and smirked placing my kunai away i turned from him.
"No matter what he has told me, or what he has kept from me. That is his choice." I looked up at the sky as it began to rain again. The rain was cold as it hit my face damping my hair and washed the bloody tears from it.
"Maybe i have become a puppet...Maybe. I desearve to die. But i swore the day i was saved that my life was then and always has been his."i said this i turned back to Pein. I then smiled towards him a sweet girlish smile.
"So try as you might, your plans to change my mind will fail."

The rod dissapeared immediately and the paths dissapated. Knowing fukll well it would take Madara to strike her down for her to see the light. He smirked and nodded folding his arms over his chest. "Yes, I know it's worthless to try to help you....Contrary to popular belief I've never hated you. I just hated what he had made you." He shrugged and turned from her lifting his hands up into the rain. He spoke softly. "Shinra Tensei." A large force blew from his hands and up toward the clouds. The force was so great the clouds above all evaporasted and shown the sky clear stoppintg the rain Immediately. "A god's strength can stop miracles and even." He stopped and looked back at her. "Change hearts, Return to the base and don't ever speak of this encounter again. If you do. The miracles will end." He made sure for his words to be seen as a promise and not a threat.

I turned towards Pein one last time and shook my head. My heart began to ache thinking Madaras true ententions. Peins words had fogged my mind. I tried hard to fight them away. I knew what Madara was trying to do. He wanted to make the world a better place but to do this he had to strike fear into their hearts...make them listen to him. I then braught my hand up to my heart as i looked at the ground then suddenly back up to Pein again.
"Why are you trying so hard....why do you care? No one ever cared...I was a monster that everyone hatted including my perents who left me at the doorsteps of an ophanage! I was a nobody...He gave me a reson to live...even if it was just..to be....a tool!" My words were spoken harshly full of sadness and anger. I began to cry once more thinking of my past. How the children all hatted me how the adults wanted me dead. I didn't even know were i came from and there were no others like me. I no longer cared if Pein was listening to me. All he cared about in my mind was to turn me againsed Madara so he had all the cards. He to probably just wanted to use me. I then began to remember how kind Madara had been to me over the years how he had not been to others. I closed my eyes letting the blood colored tears drip to the ground.
"You don't...understand me at all..."

He spoke three words with out looking at her. This time he felt a pang in his heart as he spoke them and a small lump formed in his throat. "You are wrong..." He sighed deeply and continued looking up at the sky. He too was an orphan Madara also promised them the new world. He was like no other. No one loved him. His parents were killed. If anyone understood her Deva...No. Nagato understood. Jiraiya left him and his fgriends alone just like his parents and Yahiko's parents, and Konan's parent. They were all unwanted hunted orphans in a time of great war, a war caused by Madara and the release of the tailed beasts. His sadness became anger and his clenched his fists before closing his eyes and sighing deeply. "You are so wrong..."

I had now been sitting on the ground crying to myself. The pain in my entire body was stinging. The Pein yelled that i was wrong...what did he mean wrong? At least he had friends unlike me. The only friend i had i had to sneak out to go see and this was a rare accurance. I stood then as i looked up at him again. He then said it again [i was wrong?] I looked at him confused. Something in me began to feel sorry for him then even if i didn't understand compleatly what he had gone through. in fact...i didn't know him at all. The tears had stoped flowing now only leaving bloody tear stains in their place.
"What...are you talking about?" I asked. What did he think he knew about me. How long had he really known me really.
"why do you want to stop Madara...if he wants to bring peice...its true what hes doing seems horrid but." I looked at the ground clinching my fists.
"He has to make them listen."I looked back up at him.
"If you truly know how i feel why are you fighting him...why are you stopping him from making it all better?"

He shook his head and finally opened his eyes looking directly at her. "YOU ARE WRONG! I know exactly what he said to you. What he promised you. What you think you feel about him. We always fall for it. The kids who think they are alone. The children that have hit the bottom. He has done it before and if I don't stop him he'll do it again. Peace atthe cost of the world's most noble is no more a victory then slaying a sick shinobi or an elderly man whome killed your father when you were a child. He is wrong no matter how you look at it. A deceitful spiteful cunning horribly dark and dismal figure." He growled again and leaned against a tree pinching the bridge of his nose. "How can you ever justify killings on a mass scale such as this? There is no peace for the living when their loved ones are murdered by a man they are expected to trust with their safety."

I looked at Pein for a moment and watched him as he began to act as he always did when annoyed.
"I do not jutify it...i simply understand what he means." I said as i walked over by him.
"You trusted him...and in end he only used you...is that why you hate him so?" I asked looking at him with a slight sadness. I knew that killing so many was wrong but what else can we do to make them listen. How else can we fix so many wrongs?
"If not do what we are...what can we do?" I asked him. Now i was giving him the chance to come up with a better idea. I might even decide to throw the idea to the attention if it sounded better..if it sounded like it would work.

Pein spoke only a small sentence and he had no other things on his mnd. The idealism behind this idea was the reason he existed and he was shown this by the Nine tails Jinchuriki. "Show them how to live. Do not show them death...Life will fix the wrongs." He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply again. He couldn't help but feel a bit saddened that he couldn't elaborate but his mind could only fathom this one idea. "Killing will only beget more killing. Life will only beget more life."

I looked at Pein and sighed.
"But how will you make them listen by just telling then to be nice..." I pointed out. I began to shake my head. I understood how Pein wanted to do this peacfully but people didn't listen to anyone anymore.
"We can't just look at them and tell them to be nice to eachother we cannot show them how to live if they will not listen."

He sighed and shook his head. "Telling is the wrong way to go about this. We can bring together nation with one simple act. I can stage an attack on the Kazekage and the four others will rush to aid him. Thus unifying all but our small organization. Then I will surrender myself on the condition you all be free and unprosecuted and a peace treaty be held for as long as the five great nations are prosperous enforced by the surviving members of my Organization. It does not have to be any shed blood. Only my blood will be lost and it will ensure the peace for as long as you and the others survive."

I was now speachless as i looked at him.
"But...this is just one act...no one will learn from it...many others have tried...all anyone will get from it is your death.then you will have died for nothing!" I began to yell this at him. For some reason i almost felt like i was going to lose a friend if he died. But we were never friends were we? What he was saying made no since to me. I don't think it ever would.
"How can you expect one act to work for the entir world...that kid naruto...havent you seen him..he tried everyday. and look were it gets him! nothing...it gets him nowhere because no one likes difference!"After saying this i felt terrible for trying to subdue the kid and kill him so many times. But it had to be done.
